SAVE THE DATE – Online Conference Art and Culture make a Difference On the Role of Arts and Cultural Education in Rural Areas European Online Conference with Researchers and Practitioners on 19th November 2021 from 10am to 4pm (UTC+1), in English and on Zoom
Rural areas across Europe are facing major societal challenges in light of transformational processes such as globalisation, the climate crisis, and digitisation. What role do art and culture play in this and how can they help to strengthen these areas?
The Genshagen Foundation cordially invites you to join the online conference “Art and Culture make a Difference. On the Role of Arts and Cultural Education in Rural Areas” with representatives from across Europe on 19th November 2021 from 10am to 4pm (UTC+1).
The gathering brings together experts from research and practice to discuss the role of arts and culture in rural areas and its future prospects across borders. Research projects from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) funding program “Arts and Cultural Education in Rural Areas” will present and discuss their findings. This is an opportunity to benefit from a discursive space for interdisciplinary exchange, which is designed to initiate knowledge transfer and networking.
The working language of the conference is English, participation is free.
We will send an invitation with a full programme and registration information in the last week of October. You are welcome to pre-register or contact us if you have any questions: Julia Effinger, firstname.lastname@example.org
Please feel free to share this invitation.
We hope to see you online on 19th November 2021!
